Awesome place, awesome food, awesome people. Their sushi is the best i've tried...and I've eaten at a lot of sushi restaurants.

I have been to this place several times and I have never had a bad meal. The prices are slighly high but its sushi and when is sushi not high? Be careful about the coupon(times and restrictions). The food compares to Amura which is my other sushi favorite. Nagoya has a sushi roll called "Sweet 16" its a expensive roll but it is awesome!!! The only complaint about this place is the service is just ok.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in town. I ordered the spicy krab and it was good, it could have been spicier for me. I thought it was gonna be a roll but it wasn't. My entree was the spicy chicken, I absolutely love this dish. It has great flavor and a good balance.

Sunday's Orgasm roll was worthy of the name. You simply have to try it for yourself. Again and agaiin! Warm, silky yet crunchy and just a hint of heat. I'm so hooked. I'm at a loss why they still offer Groupon and other meal deals. Take advantage of their come on and experience what you've been missing. The other two rolls we had ere also very enjoyable. Frankly we have yet to leave wanting for a better experience.

Horrible customer service to say you're so busy you can't fulfill a to go order without even giving a time estimate. And when I say I've been calling for a half hour with no answer and you acknowledge the fact you're not answering the phone because of your busy night.... The worst service ever!

This place was recommended by some people I work with so of course I had to try it out. It was delicious and not-so-nutritious (yep-spicy mayo)! My gf and I got 2 cooked maki/rolls--the California Snow Crab Roll and the Summer Roll. I thought I would like the snow crab more than the summer roll, but that wasn't the case. The summer roll is now up there as one of my faves! Summer roll has shrimp, krabmeat, cucumber, rice wrapper drizzled with sesame sauce. YUM! We also go 2 sushi pieces--shrimp and snow crab. The best part is that it's amazingly fresh and fast. This is by far the fastest place I've been to in the Orlando area when it comes to serving sushi. I love fast service 'cuz I'm usually starving by the time I decide what I want and for them to make it. Service was friendly and great. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the egg fried rice-bland.

Nagoya is my go to sushi place for numerous reasons. First, its close to where I live. Second, their pricing is right in line with what I feel it should be. They have less expensive rolls like spicy tuna, that you would expect for just 6 dollars or so, but they also have the special rolls which range from 10-14 dollars. I think they're right where they should be. Third, their service has always been courteous, efficient and friendly. You are always greeted with a smile. Smiling after each conversation and all that equates to making you feel welcome. Fourth, their sushi is fresh. The rolls are always served at the temperature I expect. The cooked rolls come out hot and the raw rolls are cool. I like their menu, it has a variety of options, even cucumber wrapped rolls, which for healthier options, this is great. I love spicy rolls, they do have a couple, but i wished they had more. You wont be disappointed if you stop in for a roll or two. Give them a shot.

Too good for 4 stars the only thing stopping a raving 5 is the location. I don't mind eating at a restauarant in a strip mall and more often than not sushi has been tastier in that environment, 'guess I was in a snotty mood :-) The food was wonderful, sushi was fresh and plentiful, rolls were imaginative and tasty and my favorite unfiltered sake was on the menu. Our waiter was very attentive but not too much and his recommendations hit the spot. I would not hesitate to revisit even if I am in a anti-publix-stripmall mood ....hopefully the photo of the golden dancing dragon shows how they roll in Maitland

Oddly slow. Ordered two simple roles and salad and 30 minutes in still waiting. Giving 3 stars as I have been here in the past and the sushi has been good. Hoping so tonight but writing review out of boredom. Three people behind the bar so not sure on service. Restaurant is about half full. Sushi bar empty but for me.

The wife and I bought some gift cards on Restaurant.com and decided to finally use one. We looked up some of the places and we came across Nagoya Sushi. I looked them up on Yelp and say a good review posted by one of the elites that has proven to be accurate in his reviews of other places I have been to that he reviewed. We agreed this was our place to dine this evening... When we arrived, there was a father and son that had just left and they were likely sitting at the sushi bar since there was 2 uncleared spots. The staff quickly cleared everything and we were given menus. The server was very nice and assisted my wife with her Sake selection. Iced tea with lime for me as usual. We looked over the menu and finally decided on several of the sushi options and two of the seafood soups that sounded pretty tasty. We were brought warm towels to clean our hands and shortly after that our drinks arrived. While I was waiting on our drinks I decided to snap off a few pictures since I really liked the decor of this place. If you look at the pictures, you will see that on top of the sushi case there are two serving trays and I can only assume they were from the guests before us because of the food particles on them. To my surprise, the sushi chef put one of the rolls un-sliced rolls we ordered on that dirty plate. I immediately told my wife not to drink any more of her Sake. About 1 minute later, he reaches up and grabs the roll, sets it on the counter in front of him and starts to slice it. I said to my wife we will not be staying and told her to hang on. I motioned over my server and quietly let him know what I just observed and to please cancel our order. We immediately left. They may have very good food for all I know but when I see something like that take place, I leave and never return.

I have yet to try many... if any... sushi places since I've been out in FL. My other half is not much of a sushi fan. SOOOOO in the spirit of New Year she decided to surprise me with a nice sushi dinner last night! =) The ngiri here is fresh and portioned well. Typical prices per PIECE (not two) are 2.50 with the usual suspects (yellow tail, eel, etc...) about 50 cents more. The rolls leave much to be desired, but then again I am not much of a roll fan. I also don't know what the deal is with the obsession with throwing cream cheese in everything. Sorry all you cream cheesed sushi lovers BLEGH. I accidentally ordered one with cream cheese due to the myriad of abbreviations they had with no abbreviation key to clue me in. Nagoya offers facebook check in offers that change periodically. Last night offered crab rangoons if you check into facebook and tag 3 friends. The crab rangoons were deep fried pieces of cream cheese as I wasn't able to find much crab if any... but hey, it was free. Also, restaurant.com offers a $25 gift certificate for $10 (less if you have a discount code) Total with 4 pieces ngiri, 2 rolls, 2 beers, prix fixe menu, tax plus tip was ~$80 I heard they have a 25% off between 4pm and 6pm during the week so I'll have to check that out... I don't think I will order anything but ngiri next time though.

My husband and I just moved here from California and were desperate to find our regular sushi spot. We tried about 5 disappointing places before finding this gem. Staff is friendly, the sushi is fresh and delicious, and the restaurant is clean and comfortable. We've been back 3 times in a month.
(5)Shannon L.
Great tuna kabachi. It's my fav. Inconsistent on everything else. I keep trying to love this place and it seems to let me down every other visit. Tonight was one of those nights. I tried a new roll called the Hot Night roll. It was very bland.... Total bummer because it was $13. It's close to home and my son loves their steamed gyoza so we find ourselves there about once a month.
(3)Danielle D.
I've been here 3 times now, always on a deal of some sort. It's pretty good- always had great sushi. Wouldn't come without a deal just because it's far from me. I really recommend the Crab Rangoon.. It's not overly fried and cooked perfectly. The best part is the wasabi cream dipping sauce it comes with. Great combination I never would have thought of. My boyfriend loves the dipping sauce so much he keeps it for his sushi. We had a fantastic waitress this last time- Christine.. Or Christina. She really made us feel extra special!
(4)Bridgette D.
I tried this place out and was impressed by their friendly service. The spicy tuna was good, I wouldn't rant about it. I've also ordered a handful of their appetizers. Their service is friendly, their food is fresh their prices are a tad bit more steep than I've encountered with other Japanese restaurants who seem to either serve more bang for their buck, or more exotic sushi/dinner. I ordered spicy tuna rolls and sashimi on a few occasions. The rolls were a bit on the small side and the rice wasn't perfectly cooked. Pieces kept falling off left and right making a run for it, not sticking to the seaweed wrap long enough to clear landing. I've had better quality tuna with less fat and more flavor. While I wouldn't discourage anyone from dining here, it's not the place for legit sushi enthusiasts. If you'd like a nice quite meal at a hole in the wall restaurant with speedy service, then this is your spot. If you're not too hungry and are a little more on the foodie side, you may wanna skip out. It was okay. The service was lovely though! Our server Cristina is very kind and does a great job of making suggestions.

Nagoya is a hidden gem of winter springs and north Orlando. It may look questionable from their outside being a small entrance nestled next to publix but the food speaks for itself. Being a sushi connoisseur, I am high maintenance when it comes to sushi. This place does not disappoint. It offers a variety of flavors, excellent craftsmanship on the rolls with excellent menu pairings. The flavors are fantastic and Will have you returning again and again. My personal recommendation is the krab Rangoons with their honey-wasabi sauce. The sauce makes it. For sushi, go right for the orgasm roll. It may be pricey but you will be glad you did with every bite. Small quiet atmosphere with a staff that will never forget you and acknowledge you upon your return, Nagoya, though small, is the model for exquisite sushi.
(5)Vance B.
Ordered takeout for two. It was ready in 15 minutes. We got the regular sashimi platter and the Samba roll. The roll had 8 thick pieces and was very tasty and creative. I haven't had better sashimi anywhere. If the pieces are too big for you, you can just bite a piece off. It's that tender. Can't wait to go back!
(5)Sue M.
Love love love this restaurant! Dine here at least once a month if not more. The food is always super fresh and beautifully prepared/presented. Very very yummy! The staff is always prompt, professional and always smiling :) Can't say enough good things about this restaurant.. If you're a sushi lover, eat here.
(5)Jonathan N.
Great service, good food and clean environment but pricey. I was working in the area when I decided to grab some sushi for lunch and decided to eat here. I am not sure why anyone would rave about this place outside of it having really good service. There are better sushi places IMO including Mikados in Lake Mary. If you want a regular overall experience then this place delivers but it's lunch specials are not so special when it comes to price and food was nothing out of this world.
(3)Peter Y.
Had 5 different rolls and one was not terrible. the other 4 were not good and the philly roll was overly fishy tasting. The place does look nice but the food isn't good. Go to Fuji in Winter Park.
(1)Morea F.
Thrilled to find an authentic and quality Japanese restaurant so close to home- I had delicious Saba sashimi - Great prices, FABULOUS food!!!
(5)Ali D.
Had dinner there again. Never disappointed. Japanese onion soup is delucious. Just wish they offered option for a larger size bowl. Great food, friendly staff. Love it
(5)Amber H.
Unassuming location on red bug road. Came here with a restaurant.com coupon and ordered a ton of rolls. All were good and service was great. Nothing stood out as exceptional but it was better than most storefront sushi. I will give it another try for sure.
(3)Javier O.
Great quality Sushi!
(4)Matt W.
Good sushi and good prices for their basic rolls. You can get a good idea for a sushi house by their raw salmon sashimi. It's an oily fish and it spoils fast. Theirs is always fresh and buttery. They also have good lunch specials.
(4)Ana G.
I can't start to describe how awesome this place is. I have also been to many sushi places and I can honestly say that this is some of the best sushi I have ever had. The Bang Bang and Orgasm rolls are great as well as the Mexican Bubble Roll. it is a little pricey but in my opinion you get what you get what you pay for. NO complains from my part and I have been here several times. I CANT wait to go back :)
(5)Lani G.
Everyone I've talked to loves this place, but I've never seen what all the hype was about. The sushi was 'okay' at best and overpriced. I've given it 2 tries and I won't be giving it a 3rd.
(2)Charlene G.
Best Japanese in Winter Springs hands down! Everything on that menu is delicious. The service is excellent. It's a small restaurant and a little pricey, but so worth it!
(5)Christy T.
I felt so bad for taking my fiance here for his birthday lunch. We went to the winter springs location. I have heard good reviews of this place from a friend, and read the descriptions of each roll on the site before deciding to go here. Ugh...I wish I stuck with our usual sushi places. This place is one in which I won't go back. The ambiance of the place is really pretty, but the food was just bleh. One of the main problems was the cut of the sashimi. It was a really thick piece...so one thick piece could be two pieces. Chewing it makes me sick to my stomach. And you had to chew alot. I have had better quality and cut with care and pride. Other than the sashimi, the rolls weren't that good. I got the lunch special with gold digger, and spider roll. We also got an additional roll, the fire mountain roll. The "crab" in the spider roll was so fried, my fiance said it could be just fried flour. The gold digger was nothing amazing to talk about as it was ground up tuna. The fire mountain roll was nothing amazing. It was topped with chopped Spicy raw tuna, white tuna, and salmon, and even with the five sauces given out with the dish, it didn't help. I really think the problem overall is that their fish isn't that amazing and fresh. Service was slow (even in the delivery of the ginger salad), as there was only 3 other parties within the whole restaurant and considering there was 3 sushi chefs behind the counter. I might add this was on saturday during their lunch time. Overall my impression of this place is not good. Good thing I save $5 by signing up for their newsletter
(1)Lydia C.
My favorite spot for sashimi. The fish is fresh and the prices are reasonable. I usually go with a groupon and order a lot of sashimi and sake! This location is a bit larger than the one in Dr Phillips but is still cozy. The service can be a bit slow at times but the servers are friendly and helpful. Great selection of sakes on the menu too.
(5)Anna C.
The service is a tiny bit slow but if you know what to order this place is amazing. The lobster roll, awesome! I've eaten sushi in a ton of places and this place has good sushi.
(5)Bill S.
Always a great time and the food is the best. Service is also very good. Mexican Bubble roll !!! XXX Roll Fire mountain
(5)John O.
As far as a good sushi place, this is about as solid as it gets. I actually eat here quite a bit and am always trying new rolls. My favorite has to be the Bang Bang Roll - it is amazing. Also their ginger dressing on the salad is quite good, it's not too "gingery" like some other places do it. Good service, calm atmosphere, and great sushi.
(4)Naomi W.
This place is the gig. Its a smaller restaurant in a plaza but it didn't feel stuffy. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The suicide roll was delicious; we got one to-go after we ate. I already know what I will try next time.
(4)Lynn K.
Both locations are the best!! Friendly folks. FRESH sushi!! Inventive specials!! Danny and Jenny are the best!!!
(5)Eric N.
Without a doubt my favourite sushi place in the Orlando area. Vegetarian and Vegan friendly with their sweet potato, seaweed salad, garden, and natto rolls. They also have classics like california, sunshine and other typical rolls. They're special rolls are where it's at though; the Mexican Bubble roll is probably their best, the orgasm roll is excellent, the golden dragon roll is great. I've never had a bad roll here, and for you raw fish people, they have plenty of choices of sushi and sashimi. If you're not in the mood for sushi, they also have various other Japanese dishes, including noodles, soup, and veggies.
(5)Elizabeth F.
I've heard a lot about this sushi place so I decided to check it out today on lunch. I got take out - two rolls - the Volcano Roll and the Super Crunchy Roll. I was impressed! The Volcano Roll didn't look like the normal volcano rolls that I've had previously but it still had all the same ingredients and was still pretty fantastic. The fish was fresh, they had a quick turn-around for calling in my order (took 15 min or less), and the prices were average in comparison to other sushi places. I will definitely be going back to Nagoya Sushi & Grill! I have a lot of sushi rolls to try :)
(4)Jacob W.
The food here is good but the service is awful and they do mandatory tipping apparently. I was with a group of 5 and we had separate checks. They charged me a "service fee" and then had the audacity to ask me for a tip. The waitress waited till my meal was over to refill my drink and spilled soy sauce on me and didn't apologize. I will never go back to the restaurant on sheer principle.
(1)Rachel Q.
I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet! AMAAAZING place. I think I have yet to find a roll I do not like on the menu. Favorite is most definitely the mexican bubble roll! Great roll if you like a hint of spice! The service has always been amazing too! Favorite waiters are definitely jimmie and alex but everyone treats you very well! very well priced for the amount they give you as well :)
(5)Megan B.
I love sushi, I've been to tons of sushi places, and it never is better than this place. The lunch special is so-so, but the regular sushi rolls are the best. I have not found any roll better than the spicey super crunchy roll or the Mexican Bubble Roll. I love splurging here every so often, the rolls aren't that cheap, but it is worth it, the rolls are pretty big, I usually get two rolls for myself. I love the hot towels they give you, the ice tea is delish too!
(5)Allison J.
I'm new to the area, and based on the reviews I found prior to my first visit I must say that they match accordingly. I'm the type to find a roll or 2 and just stick to ordering the same rolls every time I visit, with the occasional salad or soup. I have yet to try their expensive rolls, but for the pricing with the cheaper rolls compared with the quality and taste of the sushi I would say that it is quite worth the visit.
(4)Lisa W.
Nagoya Sushi is located in the Publix shopping center at the corner of Red Bug and Tuskawilla in Winter Springs/Winter Park. It's located in the corner of the Plaza, between Pretzels Bar and the Publix. Hubby and I went here for dinner after being given a friends discount voucher that needed to be used quickly. I've seen Nagoya's sign over the years but had never thought to dine here. Shame on me! The restaurant has a nice selection of booths and tables, we were greeted promptly and seated. The server was very nice in going through some of their special rolls with us. Since it was our first visit, it was very helpful and saved us some navigating the very large menu. We ended up with Spicy Tuna, Volcano, Spicy Super Crunchy and Out of Water rolls (pic). All were tasty, but the Volcano and Out of Water rolls were the stand outs for us. The flavors were perfect, sauces were just right. The Ahi in the Spicy Tuna roll was spectacular, as were all of the ingredients. I spied a pair of Ahi hand rolls heading to another table and that will be ordered on our next visit, for sure. Thanks to Megan B, Elizabeth F and other yelpers who posted about the rolls they tried. It was nice to have some ideas of what to try at a new sushi place. Now that we know Nagoya is here, we will become regulars quickly!
(4)Jeff S.
Our favorite restaurant by far. Amazing food and great service. Never had a bad experience in 10 years.
(5)Zack B.
A friend of mine that I work with had told me about this sushi place recently, so when my girlfriend wanted to try something new, we decided it was time for a visit. She ordered two different rolls: California and shrimp. She said they were pretty amazing. They looked fresh and very well prepared from my point of view. I, on the other hand, went with a cooked sesame chicken dish... And boy am I glad I did! It was fantastic. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the sauce had a nice balance with the rice. Everything we ordered was very good and fresh (which is key for a good sushi restaurant). Highly recommended for the avid sushi eater!
(4)Frank D.
I'm from San Diego and we have lots of great places for sushi, so it was nice to hear that one was close to family while I was visiting in Florida. They'd seen it for years but didn't want to go on their own without a 'guide.' The sushi was good, the rolls were nice... sake was nicely priced. The meat eater in our party had the beef asparagus (check their menu). I tried it... good! One minor issue was that the sushi menu didn't say how many pieces you got in each order... as a result we accidentally ordered two whole rolls thinking they were individual spicy tuna cones wrapped in seaweed and got only one piece each of a few kinds of sushi instead of two. Probably my fault and not theirs... In any event - we enjoyed watching the owner work with his staff to prepare our dishes behind the sushi bar since we were only a table or two away. They are obviously serious about quality and the restaurant had decent patronage for a Wednesday evening.

So... I admit, I'm no sushi fan. But, I have been to my fair share of sushi places and frankly, my review is probably helpful to the significant other of sushi lovers everywhere :) I happen to be engaged to the ultimate foodie... and sushi lover... So, for us we're looking for a place that specializes in sushi but has also taken the time to take care of the non-sushi eater... Not just serving cooked food as an after thought... I ordered off the prix fixe menu for New Year's Eve. Cucumber salad, veggie tempura, and sesame chicken. Presentation was fantastic! I just wish the food tasted as good as it looked. I'll go again to give it another shot... maybe it was an off night. The sesame chicken was too saucy and salty to me; it didn't have the nice crunch that I was looking for. The cucumber salad was really good. The veggie tempura was fine but it was served in a little boat with a tiny reservoir for the tempura dipping sauce. So IMO it didn't come w enough sauce. We also ordered the Yo Roll. It's the closest thing to a crunch roll, sorta... I found it odd that they abbreviated the descriptions but didn't offer any kind of key or legend to decipher the abbreviations... I considered asking, but didn't. My bad. It was oozing with cream cheese... Yuck... I wanted to try the beef asparagus that's mentioned in Yelp reviews, but they had a limited menu for NYE. Sooo... I'll try Nagoya Sushi again, but not on a holiday :)
(3)Casey H.
Well if it wasn't for a groupon ... I wouldn't have known about this place. If your looking for a deal then get the $20 for $40 on Groupon. I'm going to have to agree with others that this is definitely one of the best places for Sushi. I know Sushi Pop is highly rated too... My kids loved it so much (8 and 9) that I had to order another sushi roll.... 5 in total. On average, I'd estimate the prices are a little more than other sushi prices but for what your getting the little extra is worth it.
(5)Judy D.
Husband and I had dinner here for the first time last night and it was a home run. The tuna and yellowtail sashimi was fresh, flavorful and the pieces were good sized. Hubby raved about the mango shrimp entree which was accompanied by fried rice and onion soup. I ordered the vegetable dumpling (pan fried) for an appetizer and would consider it average. My entree, chicken tempura with salad and brown rice was very good. The tempura was crispy and not at all greasy. The portion was large and I'll be re-heating the remainder of it for lunch today, along with the rice. The salad was fresh and dressed lightly with a pleasant ginger dressing. Our server (I think her name was Cristina) was delightful and efficient. My husband ordered the "better" sake and liked it very much. I had a red Estancia which was freshly opened and delish. For dessert we ordered both the green tea and chocolate mochi which were very good though the portions were smaller than usual. We've already made reservations to take our out-of-state guests there next week. Though pricey, we felt the food and service were worth the cost. A definite nice addition to our list of favorite places.
(4)Jennifer C.
Definitely our favorite sushi place in Central Florida. The menu is amazing and has so many options. For me - I love edamame. And not only do they have that - but they have it with a number of other options. My favorite is the garlic/Sea salt. HOT DAMN! I'm not a super adventurous sushi eater. My husband and children have tried almost everything on the menu. For me, it's always tempura shrimp rolls. And hands down, this has the best ones around. Not only is the shrimp lightly fried and warm, but it also include crunches....those little fried pieces. Such a great texture. The service is always great and they have a great customer email newsletter that always includes coupons and deals. If you are looking for a great Orlando sushi place - this is it!
(5)Raida S.
I rarely get this good service when I am by myself. Jimmy is an excellent waiter. Hamachi Kama , soft shell crab, Japanese food and Sushi are served here. All fresh and well prepared.
(5)Bry W.
I could eat my weight in Sushi- the Spicy Tuna is good but the Volcano roll and the Out of Water roll are so awesome. Taste explosions! The flavors between the sauce and the crunch were so good. Wife ordered the Spicy Tuna as hand rolls on our last visit, like that much better than the regular roll.
(5)Erika T.
Took my son and went in for Sushi last night. We had the Mexican Bubble Roll, California Roll (always my favorite), Beef Teriyaki Roll, Avacado Roll and the Famous Roll. I thought this the first time I ate there and then last night, I don't care for the crunchy whatever it is that they put on top of the rolls. Next time, I will definitely ask for them to omit this part! Otherwise, the Sushi was pretty decent. Not the best I've ever had, but certainly not the worse. All in all, pretty good!!
(3)Chrissy N.
Make sure the old man is behind the sushi bar. He is the best. There is a great selection of sushi and hot dishes.
(4)Doug W.
It's edible but certainly nothing great. The gyoza was your standard, obviously not made at the restaurant gyoza you get at most sushi places. From there the meal went downhill actually. Had fried scallop roll and it was room temperature not warm or hot. Had the Mexican bubble roll and it was all crunch, no real flavor to speak of. My wife had a roll with crunch on the inside and way over baked shredded crab on top. It had some kind if really weird tasting sauce inside with the crunch and it tasted terrible. Long story short, we won't be going back. Staff was friendly and attentive or I would have given it 1 star.
(2)Nicole F.
We like coming to eat sushi here. The service is fast and friendly and the best part is that we arent waiting forever for our food to come out. The one main reason we like this place so much is because the sushi pieces are pretty big. They are definitley much bigger than you would get at any other place. The sushi is so good and they have rolls that you cant really find anywhere else. I really like their menu options as well
(5)Amanda W.
I took a friend here tonight for his birthday. I had high hopes, as the is (was) one of my favourite sushi places in Orlando. I used to eat here every Thursday night with friends and never had a bad experience, although it had been a while since my last visit. Once we checked in for our 7:15 reservation and were sat, it took around 10-15 minutes for the waiter to come for our drink order. The restaurant was fairly busy, but certainly not packed. I was beginning to think we didn't have a server assigned to our table. In fact, the only reason we got our appetizer order placed in any sort of timely manner is because I misheard him when he asked for the drink order. When our appetizer finally arrived (we got the pumpkin lover appetizer, described as tempura shrimp stuffed with pumpkin), I bit in only to realize it was actually just a ball of fried dough. There was something white and shriveled inside, which I am hoping was not the shrimp, and not a spot of pumpkin. We opened all four of them in hopes the first one was a fluke but no such luck. We were there probably between 30-45 minutes before he came back for our entree order, which didn't arrive for almost another hour. We ordered four pretty basic/standard rolls. By the time we received our food, we had been there for an hour and a half. The couple at the table next to us ordered several rolls separately, all of which came and were eaten before we were even served (this was the scenario with several other tables around us). I don't know if the other folks had reservations or not but certainly ours was not very helpful. The waiter never came by even once to let us know how much longer the wait would be. Even when he cleared our appetizer dishes 30+ minutes after it arrived, he didn't say a word. The one redeeming quality is that the sushi was decent, although it was very salty. I asked the waiter to take the appetizer off the bill due to our disappointment with what we got verses what had been described, plus the hour and a half wait. He applied the Living Social coupon and came back with another bill for almost $8.00 for automatic gratuity! There were only two of us so there was not a large party, NOR was I given any sort of indication that gratuity would be added. It was not even on my original bill. So, I was forced to leave a tip amount that I did not calculate based on the service or experience and was not made aware would be automatically added. I don't know that I will ever go back to Nagoya Sushi. Very disappointed.

Awful. I came with a coupon and called ahead and let them know I had the coupon. Server did not explain to me my options correctly. Very confusing. Also, the food sucked. My sushi/sashimi plate was overpriced and not edible. It made me sick. My friend's chicken meal was barely edible as well. Tofu kept falling apart. We went to Publix afterward for dinner even though we dropped $40. Awful.

Regular. Fish always fresh. Accommodate to dietary requests. Like selection of sushi specialty rolls.
(3)Lily B.
We are regulars here. Every time we come the food waiting time gets longer and longer. Today we waited for over thirty minutes and when we got our food the sushi rolls were falling apart. Done with this place!!!!

Fantastic server subpar sushi! We bought a groupon or Amazon local coupon because it is close enough to our home. This place a has been there forever and we have now decided places that have been around a long time and offer discounts probably need the business because they are not that good. We ordered three rolls-spicy tuna, Honeymoon and Mexican Bubble. I honestly think we could have gotten better quality rolls next door at Publix. Not sure why folks think the bubble roll is so good. If I wanted that much cream cheese I would go to Einstein Bagels. Everyone of their special rolls either had cream cheese, Krab, or escolar. Sorry folks the quality is not there AT ALL! There are two other fabulous places within range (sushi Pop and Yuki Hana) so no reason to stop there. If I pay $13 for a roll it better damn be special and it will be at the other two places I just mentioned. Sorry Nagoya "Please pack your knives and go"

Avoid. Overpriced, small servings, fish not that good. I don't eat rolls often but even their rainbow and cali rolls were disappointing. Overall (2/10). People were nice.

Great sushi at a very good price. I had the volcano rolls (these could be top 5 ever) and spicy tuna both were awesome!
(5)Kimberly W.
Nothing too special here, go down the road to SushiPop instead!

Every time we go to Nagoya Sushi in Winter Springs we get amazing food and service. Mexican Bubble, Orgasm and Popeye rolls are ones I recommend anyone to try their first time here. Everyone we have taken to Nagoya Sushi loves it as well. We like to try something new every time we go, so the last time we went we ordered the vegetable tempura appetizer and it was delish. Also, you should try their Japanese onion soup, kind of like the soup you get at Kobe, but way better. If you plan on going Friday, Sat or Sun evening, I suggest calling and making a reservation as they are busy and you may have to wait for a table. During the week it's a bit slower and you are likely to walk right in and get a table. They also are open for lunch and have a lunch special - 2 Rolls (off the lunch menu) and a soup or salad for 10 bucks. A great way to give them a try!

Here with a friend for lunch. I didn't notice until after receiving our plates that there's a sign indicating the crab is imitation. The spicy tuna roll was tasty. The shrimp tempora was ok but the shrimp was dry. It's very busy and the sushi bar all appears imaculate and fresh. Our plates were no where near as cool as some of the pictures from other reviews.

Nagoya Sushi & Grill is a very nice looking restaurant inside, but I found the food to be average. The prices (especially for sushi) are quite high, and the quality is not as good as they should be for the prices. As others have reported, the service is mediocre. For the restaurant being as quiet as it normally is, the service should be much better. It's an okay restaurant, but I have had much better in Orlando.

I also had heard a lot about Nagoya Sushi, so I decided to check it out and I was SO glad that I did. My wife and I shared 4 different rolls and all were AMAZING. We can't wait to go back to try different rolls... it's a very clean and welcoming environment and at night can be very romantic for a date night. The Owner is extremely welcoming and treats each guest like they are coming into her home. Wonderful experience!

i come here from time to time for lunch and it has always had really good, really fresh and tasty sushi, those raw slivers of fish on rice. i often get the sashimi lunch special for 13.00 or try the bento boxes for lunch that come with dumplings a few pieces of roll and your choice of entree . one word: yummy, but a bit pricey tastychomps.blogspot.com

I consider sushi it's own food group because I love and eat it so much of it...so its no surprise that I take every opportunity I can to indulge. I discovered Nagoya Sushi and Grill thanks to a friend who lives very close to it. We went on a Friday night and my excitement quickly faded when we walked into a nearly empty restaurant. Everything about the interior of this place is typical of a sushi restaurant...Asian inspired decor, a sushi bar, lots of black and white and subtle music in the background. There was nothing special about the menu which contained the usual variety of rolls and Japanese cuisine. I was actually disappointed that there were no fancy, exclusive to Nagoya rolls. I ordered my usual rainbow and spider rolls along with some seaweed salad. All of it was just okay, nothing special about it. The rolls were a bit on the small side and there was more rice than filling and fish. Their eel sauce looked like tar and tasted horrible. And the tempura was too greasy and lacked the right consistency and crunch that is typical of tempura dishes. Our server wasn't very attentive, off doing other things I suppose. Prices aren't bad, but I don't feel that this place is worth the money or time. Overall, it's okay if you really want some sushi and have no other options, but it's far from the best in town.
(3)Justin D.
Been going here for the past few years now on and off. The food, the service, the lighting, everything is great. Perfect place for a nice quiet date. J-pop played quietly in the background and their food is consistent. Since I moved from NY, one dish I have a hard time finding is Hamachi Kama (yellow tail jaw). They have it here. Get it!
(4)Kate C.
Sushi is awesome here, they have an email club as well as coupons on restaurant.com . My husband even enjoys it and he does not love sushi like I do. Great alternative to Amura for locals, this is my go-to sushi restaurant when I am in the mood.
(5)Maggie M.
I've visited many of the sushi bars in Central Florida, being an avid sushi lover. In my humble opinion, Nagoya has the tastiest, freshest food for the best money. All sushi is pricey, no doubt, but the quality of the fish is superb, and the prices are not astronomical. Service has always been outstanding, and I've found that the more often you go, the more fun it is, since the servers get to know you! :-) It is a small, family run restaurant with family-style service. They also offer a "frequent buyer" card which can earn $20 of free sushi.
(5)Rich M.
Awesome place, awesome food, awesome people. Their sushi is the best i've tried...and I've eaten at a lot of sushi restaurants.
(5)Nicole B.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in town. I ordered the spicy krab and it was good, it could have been spicier for me. I thought it was gonna be a roll but it wasn't. My entree was the spicy chicken, I absolutely love this dish. It has great flavor and a good balance.
(5)Laura B.
Horrible customer service to say you're so busy you can't fulfill a to go order without even giving a time estimate. And when I say I've been calling for a half hour with no answer and you acknowledge the fact you're not answering the phone because of your busy night.... The worst service ever!

(4)Jamie J.
(4)Mark C.

(3)Bridgette D.

(5)Ana G.
(5)Lani G.
Everyone I've talked to loves this place, but I've never seen what all the hype was about. The sushi was 'okay' at best and overpriced. I've given it 2 tries and I won't be giving it a 3rd.

Our favorite restaurant by far. Amazing food and great service. Never had a bad experience in 10 years.

Best Japanese in Winter Springs hands down! Everything on that menu is delicious. The service is excellent. It's a small restaurant and a little pricey, but so worth it!
(5)Frank D.

I rarely get this good service when I am by myself. Jimmy is an excellent waiter. Hamachi Kama , soft shell crab, Japanese food and Sushi are served here. All fresh and well prepared.

Make sure the old man is behind the sushi bar. He is the best. There is a great selection of sushi and hot dishes.
